About The Department
The PG department of Economics was established during the academic year 2002-2003. The department has a glorious record of completing two decades. The learned faculty members and their dedicated service have nurtured the department with healthy academic atmosphere and created research bent of mind among staff and students. The department has adequate physical infrastructure with the provision of spacious class rooms, seminar hall, and free access to internet connections. The department maintains computer lab with required software to build econometrics models.

Program Outcomes of MA Economics
MA Economics students are postgraduate learners who build advanced knowledge in economic theory, quantitative methods, and policy analysis. They develop critical thinking and research skills to analyze real-world economic issues using data and analytical tools. The program prepares them for careers in academia, policy-making, finance, and research, as well as higher studies.

- Develop comprehensive knowledge of microeconomic and macroeconomic theories, econometrics, and applied economics to analyze economic issues.
