About Hostel

Code of Conduct for Hostel Residents

The Hostel is a home away from home. All residents are expected to maintain discipline, dignity, mutual respect, and a conducive atmosphere for academic and personal development. The following rules and regulations shall be strictly observed by all hostel residents:

General Discipline

Every resident shall uphold the values, reputation, and discipline of the College and Hostel.
Residents shall conduct themselves in a courteous, respectful, and responsible manner at all times.
Any act of indiscipline, misconduct, ragging, bullying, harassment, or violence is strictly prohibited.
Residents shall comply with the instructions issued by the Principal, Warden, and Hostel Authorities from time to time.

Attendance and Timings

Residents must strictly adhere to the hostel timings prescribed by the authorities.
Attendance during roll call is mandatory for all residents.
Leaving the hostel without prior permission from the Warden is prohibited.
Overnight stay outside the hostel requires prior written permission from the Warden and consent from parents/guardians.

Academic Responsibility

Residents are expected to maintain regular attendance in classes and actively participate in academic activities.
Silence shall be maintained during study hours to ensure a conducive learning environment.
Any activity that disturbs the academic atmosphere of the hostel shall be avoided.

Cleanliness and Hygiene

Residents shall maintain cleanliness and hygiene in their rooms and common areas.
Hostel property, furniture, fixtures, and amenities shall be used responsibly.
Damages caused to hostel property shall be recovered from the concerned resident(s).

Safety and Security

Residents shall not permit unauthorized persons into the hostel premises.
Possession or use of alcohol, tobacco, narcotic substances, or any intoxicants is strictly prohibited.
Cooking in rooms, use of electrical appliances without permission, and possession of hazardous materials are prohibited.
Residents shall immediately report any safety concerns or emergencies to the hostel authorities.

Use of Facilities

Water and electricity shall be used judiciously and responsibly.
Common facilities such as dining hall, reading room, recreation room, and washrooms shall be used with care and consideration for others.
Any misuse of hostel facilities shall attract disciplinary action.

Digital and Social Conduct

Residents shall use mobile phones, internet, and social media responsibly.
Sharing objectionable, defamatory, or inappropriate content that affects the reputation of the institution or individuals is prohibited.
Photography or videography within the hostel without permission is not allowed.

Visitors

Visitors shall be received only during the prescribed visiting hours and in designated areas.
Entry of visitors into hostel rooms is strictly prohibited unless permitted by the authorities.

Prohibited Activities

Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited and punishable under the law.
Gambling, possession of weapons, vandalism, and any unlawful activities are prohibited.
Organizing gatherings, celebrations, or events without prior permission is not allowed.

Disciplinary Action

Violation of hostel rules may result in warning, suspension of hostel privileges, monetary penalty, expulsion from the hostel, or any other disciplinary action deemed appropriate by the College Authorities.
The decision of the Principal and Hostel Management regarding disciplinary matters shall be final and binding.

Declaration

Every hostel resident shall abide by the Hostel Rules and Regulations and contribute towards maintaining a safe, secure, disciplined, and harmonious living environment within the hostel premises.
