Objectives of Women Empowerment Cell (WEC)

Commonly set up in colleges and institutions to promote gender equity and safety. Here are the key objectives:

Core Objectives
  • Create Awareness: Sensitize students and staff about gender equality, women's rights, legal provisions, and gender-related issues.
  • Ensure Safety & Security: Provide a safe, secure, and harassment-free environment on campus. Address complaints of sexual harassment through the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC).
  • Promote Self-Reliance: Organize skill development programs, entrepreneurship workshops, and career guidance to enhance economic independence.
  • Foster Confidence: Conduct seminars, talks, and counseling sessions to build self-esteem, leadership qualities, and decision-making ability.

  • Health & Well-being: Arrange awareness programs on physical health, mental health, nutrition, and reproductive rights.
