About The Department
The Department of Sanskrit was established in the year 1970 NEP was introduced in the year 2021-22 Revised NEP was introduced in the year 2024-25 COURSESB OFFRED : BA, B.Com, B Sc, BBA, BCA
- To develop effective communication and spirit of Classical Language among students.
- To prepare the students to understand the importance of national integration, to improve the usage of Sanskrit and Communication Skills.
- To guide and assist student in the pursuit of knowledge in various discipliners of Indian Classical Language and Literature
- To Improve their reading and Writing Skill.
Objectives
- Linguistic Mastery: To provide students with a comprehensive understanding of Sanskrit grammar (Vyakarana), linguistics, and philology to ensure proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking.
- Literary Appreciation: To cultivate an analytical and aesthetic appreciation of Classical Sanskrit literature, including the works of Kalidasa, Bhasa, and Bhavabhuti.
- Research Excellence: To encourage original research in diverse fields such Epigraphy, Manuscriptology, and the Puranas, fostering a new generation of Sanskrit scholars.
