About The Department
The Department of Hindi was established in the year 1973 and has been rendering valuable service towards the promotion of Hindi, our Official Language and an important National Language. Hindi is taught as one of the language subjects in various undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by the institution.The Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) was introduced in the academic year 2018–19. The National Education Policy (NEP) was introduced in the year 2021–22, and the Revised NEP was implemented from the academic year 2024–25.

Objectives
- भाषाई दक्षता और संप्रेषण (Language Proficiency) • LSRW कौशल का विकास: छात्रों में सुनने, बोलने, पढ़ने और लिखने (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing) के कौशलों को उच्च स्तर पर विकसित करना। • शुद्ध मानक हिंदी: व्याकरण सम्मत और वर्तनी की दृष्टि से शुद्ध हिंदी प्रयोग की क्षमता पैदा करना। • मौखिक अभिव्यक्ति: वाद-विवाद, संगोष्ठी और सार्वजनिक भाषणों के माध्यम से आत्मविश्वास के साथ विचार व्यक्त करने योग्य बनाना।
- साहित्यिक एवं सांस्कृतिक बोध (Literary & Cultural Awareness) • साहित्य का इतिहास: हिंदी साहित्य के विभिन्न कालों (आदिकाल, भक्तिकाल, रीतिकाल और आधुनिक काल) और उनकी प्रवृत्तियों से परिचित कराना। • साहित्यिक विश्लेषण: कविता, कहानी, उपन्यास, नाटक और निबंध जैसी विधाओं की आलोचनात्मक व्याख्या करने की क्षमता विकसित करना। • मानवीय मूल्य: साहित्य के माध्यम से छात्रों में नैतिक मूल्य, सामाजिक चेतना, संवेदनशीलता और राष्ट्रीय एकता की भावना जागृत करना।
- व्यावहारिक एवं प्रयोजनमूलक हिंदी (Functional Hindi) • कार्यालयी हिंदी: सरकारी और गैर-सरकारी संस्थानों में प्रयुक्त होने वाली प्रशासनिक शब्दावली, टिप्पणी (Noting) और प्रारूपण (Drafting) का ज्ञान देना। • अनुवाद कौशल: हिंदी से अंग्रेजी और अंग्रेजी से हिंदी (या क्षेत्रीय भाषा) में अनुवाद करने की प्रयोगात्मक दक्षता प्रदान करना। • जनसंचार एवं मीडिया: समाचार लेखन, फीचर लेखन, विज्ञापन और रेडियो/टीवी की भाषा की बुनियादी समझ विकसित करना।
- करियर और रोजगार (Career Readiness) • रोजगार के अवसर: छात्रों को हिंदी अधिकारी, अनुवादक, पत्रकार, पटकथा लेखक, शिक्षक और कंटेंट राइटर के रूप में तैयार करना। • प्रतियोगी परीक्षा: संघ लोक सेवा आयोग (UPSC) और अन्य राज्य स्तरीय परीक्षाओं के लिए हिंदी विषय की ठोस आधारभूमि तैयार करना। • उच्च शिक्षा: छात्रों में शोध (Research) की प्रवृत्ति विकसित करना ताकि वे भविष्य में एम.ए. और पीएच.डी. के लिए तैयार हो सकें।
- तकनीकी दक्षता (IT Skills) • हिंदी कंप्यूटिंग: कंप्यूटर पर हिंदी टाइपिंग (Unicode), इंटरनेट का उपयोग और हिंदी सॉफ्टवेयर के प्रयोग में सक्षम बनाना।

Hindi Day Celebration
