Department of English

About the Department

The Department of English was established in 1970 with the objective of providing an impetus to the study of English Language and Literature. The department has highly qualified faculty and strives hard to achieve the mission of helping students to build knowledge of the content and methods of literary studies, English Language and Literature. The department will conduct Language lab classes for the enhancement of students’ language skills.

Enabling students to become proficient in English, the emerging Global language.

Mission

  • Equal weightage to literature and language skills in the syllabi.
  • Paper presentation – mandatory for 3rd semester language students.
  • Presentation of paper on topics prescribed mandatory for Opt English students of all semesters.
  • Pragmatic usage of Language Lab for sharpening and enhancement of communication skills.
