Some years back, there was a situation where a parent could not get information about his son/daughter either through him/her or through the Principal in time. In fact, even students were not getting very essential information about their attendance, etc., till the last minute before the commencement of examination.
We are happy that the JSS Women's College (Autonomous) is opening its new website now. It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the website of JSS College for Women, one of the premiere institutes of higher learning in Mysuru. The college has achieved many milestones in its journey of 50 years. The institution bagged the prestigious accolades of being ranked 5th in the State and 25th at the National level among Private Autonomous colleges in India as per the Education World Magazine Survey 2022.
The education we provide is truly holistic because, we firmly believe that a college is essentially a community of students and teachers and both should work together for the sole purpose of advancing knowledge and disseminating it. At present the college offers 5 UG programmes – BA, B.Sc, BCA, BCom and BBA and 3 PG programmes MA (Economics), MCom & M.Sc(Chemistry). For the all round development of students, the college offers 81 Career Oriented Programmes. To familiarize students with our rich cultural milieu and acquaint them with cultural ethos of our country, the institution offers a paper on Bharathiya Sanskriti. Blessed by the Guruparampara of Sri Sutturu Math, the College encourages symbiotic relationship not only amongst Guru and Shishya but propagate harmonious living amongst all living creatures. This symbiosis is the essence of our existence. Creating this awareness amongst the students is one of the noteworthy achievements of the college.
